      First impressions of Sandholm

      Center Sandholm, Denmark’s oldest camp for asylum seekers, sits atop a green hill surrounded by sprawling farmland about 30 km north of Copenhagen. The location is the site of a former military complex and many of its historic yellow buildings still remain in use today.
