Sellon ampumavälikohtaus tapahtui Espoon Leppävaarassa sijaitsevan kauppakeskus Sellon Prisma-myymälässä 31. joulukuuta 2009 noin kello 10. Välikohtauksessa kuoli neljä Prisman työntekijää. Lisäksi ampuja oli ennen tätä surmannut espoolaisessa yksityisasunnossa entisen naisystävänsä, jota poliisi pitää iskun pääasiallisena kohteena, ja lopuksi Sellosta lähdettyään itsensä. Uhri oli hakenut apua useasti, mutta ei ollut onnistunut pääsemään eroon miehestä. Hän oli jopa soittanut hätäkeskukseen vähän ennen tekoa ja pyytänyt apua. Hätäkeskus oli vastannut, että ”elä nyt normaalisti siinä vaan”.[1] Poliisi epäilee, että tapahtumien motiivina olivat ampujan ja hänen entisen naisystävänsä väliset ihmissuhdeongelmat, sillä mikään ampujan taustassa ei viittaa uskonnolliseen tai poliittiseen aktiivisuuteen.
